Application for Affiliation

To apply for the MS program in Statistical Science a student should print out and complete the "Application to earn a Master's Degree in another discipline enroute to the Ph.D." form. This form is also available directly from the Graduate School. Students accepted into the MS program will be assigned an advisor and committee with whom the student's course of study will be discussed and proposed to the STA DGS for approval. A student may take Duke courses that will satisfy the MS requirements prior to applying for the MS program, but it is not possible to have a selection of courses approved before applying.

Note:

Students interested in the concurrent MS will generally not be required to pay additional tuition and fees if they have not transferred credit towards their Ph.D. and if they do not register for the "en route" MS in their home department.
